The exact weight varies by make and model, but in general, our Avail Ballistic Door Panels Level III+ weigh less than 50 lbs. 

Avail NIJ Level III+ ballistic door panels install with detailed and easy to follow instructions. An experienced installer can install the Avail Level III+ ballistic panels by removing the inside door panel, placing the ballistics and reassembling the door. The exact installation time varies per make and model, but in general, Avail Level III+ panels can be installed in 2 – 3 hours.

Yes, Avail Level III+ panels are transferable between compatible makes and models. Because every vehicle is different and tends to change with each new model, it is important that your car armor or truck armor is first inspected to ensure the ballistic integrity and vehicle functionality are not compromised. We conduct rigorous and detailed environmental testing on all of our products. We use third-party testing facilities as well as internal testing practices. We test our products in the various environments they will be subject to over the product’s lifespan.
