We conduct rigorous and detailed environmental testing on all of our products. We use third-party testing facilities as well as internal testing practices. We test our products in the various environments they will be subject to over the product’s lifespan.
Yes, Avail vehicle armor is transferable between compatible makes and models. Because every vehicle is different and tends to change with each new model, it is important that your car armor or truck armor is first inspected to ensure the ballistic integrity and vehicle functionality are not compromised. “Bulletproof” is a common term, but it’s not entirely accurate. Vehicle armor is bullet-resistant — designed to protect against certain ballistic threats based on its materials and tested performance standards. While it can offer critical protection, no armor system can guarantee total immunity from every type of threat or situation.
Installation varies from NIJ Level IIIA models to NIJ Level III+, lasting anywhere from less than 10 minutes to up to 3 hours. Check out our installation guides in the Resources tab for detailed instruction.
The exact weight varies by make and model, but in general, our NIJ Level IIIA panels weigh less than 8 lbs and our NIJ Level III+ panels weigh less than 45 lbs.
We currently offer Avail ballistic panels for the industry’s leading vehicles from Ford®, GM®, Dodge® and Nissan®. Model availability varies between IIIA and III+ offerings.
