What is the Kentuckt body armor grant?
The Kentucky Body Armor Grant provides funding to help law enforcement agencies equip officers with modern, compliant body armor. Established in response to expired body armor affecting nearly half of Kentucky officers, the program provides eligible agencies with 100% state-funded coverage to replace outdated armor and support underfunded departments in acquiring NIJ-compliant protective equipment. Approximately $15 million in funding is available to eligible Kentucky law enforcement agencies.
