In high-stakes environments, every detail matters. For law enforcement officers, clear identification can be the difference between confusion and control. The Ally One ID Placard is a simple yet powerful tool designed to enhance safety, visibility, and accountability in the field.

Whether you're coordinating in a multi-agency response or working crowd control at a public event, having a clearly visible ID placard is critical. In this post, we’ll explore why ID placards matter, what makes ours different, and how they fit into your mission-ready loadout.

What is an ID Placard?

AA-ID-Placard-1

ID Placards are removable, highly visible identification panels that attach securely to the front or rear of your body armor via hook-and-loop paneling.  It provides quick, unmistakable identification of agency, role, or name, especially when working in dynamic or multi-jurisdictional environments.

At Angel Armor, our ID Placards are purpose-built for durability, clarity, and seamless integration. Designed to complement our RISE® body armor systems, it delivers high-visibility identification without adding bulk or compromising agility.

Why Identification Matter in the Field

When you step into a high-risk environment, every second counts. Visual identifiers eliminate confusion, improve coordination, and reduce the risk of friendly fire—especially in joint operations or fast-moving crowd situations.

Customer Testimonials

"Angel Armor saved my life during a critical incident."

Our testing was conducted on an NIJ IIIA ballistic door panel insert manufactured by Angel Armor. The panel was field tested on a 2015 Dodge Charger patrol squad car. Weighing just under ten pounds, the panel slipped into the driver's door with relative ease. No additional mounting hardware or brackets were required. None of the inner door panels, handles or inside trim needed to be removed and the panel slipped between the glass side window and the outer door metal. The panel was secured under the trim piece that ran along the top edge of the driver's door. Our fleet technician took approximately 20 minutes to install the panel, but with more familiarity and reputation, I would expect this time to be reduced. The panel rode nicely and did not vibrate or generate any noticeable noise. It did not interfere with normal window and door locking operations. A small handle allowed the panel to be easily removed and theoretically transferred to another vehicle. After removal from the vehicle installation, the panel was tested at the range. Using a wooden frame for support and portability, the panel withstood various .38, .357, .40, and .44 caliber handgun rounds at 20 feet, as well as 12 gauge 00 buck and slug rounds. The panel failed to stop .223 and .308 rounds (which was anticipated.) Considering the rating was IIIA, the panel performed as expected. The panel was not range tested while installed in a vehicle door. Our testing showed that the panel performed as advertised and would be a worthwhile consideration when outfitting future squad cars.

The RISE carrier and Truth SNAP rifle plate are extremely comfortable and lightweight. I wear it every single night on patrol. In a perfect world, every officer would be issued the Truth SNAP rifle plates.

Angel Armor allows me to lead my squad knowing I will not only survive a rifle attack but remain in the fight. I sing praises about my Angel Armor vest to any officer that stands still too long near me.
