On Sunday, May 10 nearly 2,000 riders got on their bikes in Somerset, NJ and began a three-day journey to Washington D.C. Much more than another day on the road, this journey kicked off an annual event that commemorates and honors our nation’s fallen police officers.
Founded in 1997, the Police Unity Tour started with 18 riders who traveled from Florham Park, New Jersey to The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. The inaugural ride raised $18,000 for the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund. This Police Week, over 1,800 riders are participating in the Police Unity Tour’s National Challenge Ride and will donate nearly two million dollars to the fund.
Angel Armor is a proud sponsor of the Police Unity Tour. We’d like to pay special tribute to Maureen Noe and Casey Box of the Fort Collins Police Department, who are riding in honor multiple fallen officers, including Lt. Larry Estes and Deputy Bill Hunter — two men especially close to our hearts. Learn more about their story here: angelarmor.com/enough
Join us in thanking our Colorado riders, and all Police Unity Tour’s National Challenge Ride members, for their incredible efforts in honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We are humbled to have a small part in a much greater cause.
Stay safe — ride on,
Angel Armor
